Dining in Manhattan: La Esquina
Too bad you can’t get tacos de chapulin (cricket tacos) here anymore. But you CAN get tamal de gallo (stewed rooster), lengua (look it up if you don’t know), and juicy slow cooked chicken tostados and carne asada served in the basement that started the whole speakeasy craze. Plus, La Esquina has one of the most extensive tequila and mezcal menus in the city. Don’t have time for a sit-down? Grab a taco at the counter upstairs.
